iPro Sport World Cup of Gymnastics – Results
Germany’s Tabea Alt and Ukraine’s Oleg Verniaiev took gold at the iPro Sport World Cup of Gymnastics, winning the women’s and men’s competitions respectively at The O2, London.
Alt edged out American Victoria Nguyen having topped the scoring on the floor and uneven bars and there was glory for Great Britian’s Amy Tinkler. The Durham gymnast, now based in Essex, won Bronze in Rio eight months ago and collected the same medal in front of a packed-out home crowd.
In the men’s competition Verniaiev took the glory, with USA taking their second silver of the day through Donnell Whittenburg. Germany’s Lukas Dauser took third, staving off the competition from Britain’s Sam Oldham whose fantastic finish on the High Bar was so close to earning him a medal. Oldham’s fellow Brit, Brinn Bevan, came fifth.
